Case Study: ACP Retail Display
Acoustic Ceiling Products (ACP) develops innovative, unique, and easy-to-install ceiling and tile solutions for the renovation or new construction of residential and commercial spaces.
Acoustic Ceiling Products was looking for a new way to package their Aspect™ Peel and Stick line of backsplash tiles. At the time, they were packaged in paperboard cartons, which inhibited customers from seeing and feeling the product. ACP was looking for a packaging solution that was not only transparent, but also tamper-evident to meet the requirements of large retail stores. Quick turn-around to get the product packaged and shipped to meet retailer’s deadlines was of critical importance to ACP.
All About Packaging’s solution is three-fold: Design, Build and Fulfill. They designed two packages for the Aspect™ product line. Crystal clear packaging ensured the tile colors were fully visible and a small diecut hole in each package enables customers to touch and feel the quality of the tiles. Aspect™ Matted Metal Backsplash Tiles go in a two-piece blister (RF sealed) that was developed to fit the multiple shapes and patterns the matted tiles come in. Aspect™ 3×6″ Peel and Stick Glass Tiles are showcased in an RF sealed clamshell.
All About Packaging builds the blisters and clamshells on their thermoforming equipment then fulfills the tile packages. They place an acousto-magnetic EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) tag, instruction sheet and graphics insert into each package before sealing on their rotary RF machines. All About Packaging’s flexible production gives ACP the turn-around time they need to stay on top of retail demands.
