Ideal Industries, Inc. is a manufacturer of connectors, hand tools, testers and meters for the electrical and telecommunications industries.
The challenge
Ideal Industries was looking for an innovative and efficient way to package its ThermoshrinkTM line of heat shrink tubing. The company required a cost-efficient solution that had dispensing capabilities. At the time, the tubing was packaged in a clear, thermoformed clamshell that did not act as a functional dispenser.
The solution
The All About Packaging team designed four sizes of circular blisters along with two blister cards to fit all Thermoshrink™ sku’s. The blister functioned as a dispenser, providing not only merchandising appeal but functionality for the end-user. It also requires less plastic, therefore reducing the cost. The blister cards are imprinted with All About Packaging’s proprietary VeriMax® system and are perforated for convenient, end-user storage.
